Your writing is delightful! I love that you are evolving your writing (learning in public). It gives wonderful permission for others (ahem, me) to do the same. Happy 1st birthday and OMG... so many subscribers!
Thanks, Nikki! I was thinking of you when I wrote some of this. π Every stage of the journey is so fraught. Believing you have something to say. Figuring out what it is and how to say it well. And then actually putting it out there. None of it comes gently. I can't wait to see and hear more of your words, too!
So wild that it feels like βflying by the seat of your pantsβ because I really admire how thoughtful and organized and kept-up itβs been! It really seems like youβre on to something and keeping it growing is no small thing. Well done and I love learning a bit of the βbehind the scenesβ!
Thanks for sharing your perspective on this, Liv! I should clarify that I was VERY planful leading up to the launch of TDB (it's the deciding what to write since then that has been more haphazard). So maybe that's why it seems thoughtful and organized - because the foundational work really was. I worked with a brand specialist who helped me rethink my whole professional brand and how The Diving Board fit into that, and I also hired a graphic designer for the logos and other graphic elements. Since launching, I've aimed to stay within the constructs of that original brand work, but I'm always second-guessing whether I'm hitting the mark.
So fun to hear back from you, Nishant! I read your interview when I was researching and preparing to launch, and your words have been my motto this whole year! Wishing you well. ππ»
Congratulations, Claire! "However, if youβve ever coached with me or if you read the book Iβm writing someday, youβll know that my approach to βwork stuffβ is intentionally holistic and human and not confined to corporate norms." <--- and THIS is what makes you a great coach and writer, in my opinion. Love TDB, no notes for year 2!
As always, I love your vulnerability. As for your writing, whatever you write sounds utterly like you, and thatβs whatβs most important. The link to the message is always there, gently brought forward through your words. I am so grateful to have met you and to be one of your readers!
Belated gratitude for the shout out, Claire! I am so inspired by your "public" learning and the authentic and wise voice you put into the world! β€οΈ I learn more from you all the time - in all ways!
Can't believe it's already been a year!! Can't wait to see what the terrible 2s hold. π₯³
